Why should we have our wedding recorded on dvd/video ?
DVD/Video is a tried and tested way to ensure that you can relive those treasured moments and share them with friends and relatives who weren't there ( or perhaps future descendants) DVD?Video records character, personality and emotion in a way that still photograph cannot.

Will the video cameras annoy guests ?
That depends on the video camera operator and at Platinum Video Services we pride ourselves on our ablility to capture those treasured moments and still be unobtrusive enough that guests do not realize we are present and filming.

Do you include all of the footage taken the day of my event ?
You will receive an edited version of your wedding day which contains most of the original footage, but as an option, you may receive the original unedited raw footage of your day for your archives.

Why have an edited video and not just get raw tapes of the
entire day ?
Raw tapes are useful for archive purposes, but the edited dvd/video is the one that you will want to show show friends and relatives. Editing allows a for a smooth flow from start to finish, combining the best camera views and audio tracks at any given time, engaging the viewer's attention and emotions. People remember quality productions and want to see them over again.

My uncle has a camcorder and has offered to tape our
wedding. Why should I hire a professional ?
Yours is a one-take occasion, with no chances of going back and correct mistakes or oversights. Platinum Video Services has recorded numerous weddings and has the equipment, the experience and the professional know-how to capture all the special moments of your wedding day. And one of the most important parts of recording your wedding ceremony and reception is the post-production work involved in making your video smooth, professional and fun to watch. Hiring a professional allows your uncle to enjoy the festivities at your wedding, instead of being stuck behind the camera. ( Plus it will save you from family disagreements when your uncle's tape is not what you expected, but it's too late to do anything about it! )

How early do I need to reserve my wedding date ?
It's a case of the sooner, the better, to guarantee the availability of your date. While we are sometimes able to accommodate couples on short notice, we recommend at least three to six months in advance. During the more popular wedding months, dates can become unavailable a year in advance.

How do I go about reserving my wedding date ?
In order to reserve your date, a £100 non-refundable deposit is required with a signed agreement engaging Platinum Video Services to videotape your wedding. How long does it take to receive the finished video ?
Normally your video will take from 5 to 6 weeks to complete.

Why do you retain the rights to our wedding ?
Retaining the rights to your wedding just allows us to show your wedding as a demo to new customers and also acts as a copyright of ownership. This is a standard procedure for most videographer services.
